★ Kore, sore, are are demonstoratives used to refer to an object.
Kore - refer to something close to the speaker.
Sore - refer to something close to the listener.
Are - refer to something that is away from both the speaker and the listener.
★ When you use a demonstrative in front of a noun, use kono, sono, ano, not kore, sore, or are.
